FOREX PRICE CLUES

Below are the Forex Price Clues using the March Euro futures contract displaying clearly that the larger True Trend is DOWN in the Euro currency presently.

 The media and market pundits, of course, have mainly touted how weak the US DOLLAR is.

Logic would seem to be on their side, what with all the currency being printed and created with the bailouts.

However, as you can see, the real weakness is in the EURO relative to the US DOLLAR in truth.

Logic, it seems, has nothing to do with REALITY.

Work with what you SEE, not with what you HEAR!

Now, thats the LONG TERM TREND.

UPDATE 2-01-09: As we noted in our previous short-term Euro post, the trend UPWARD only lasted until Wednesday and has re-established its DOWNWARD trend.

The price dropped below the Golden Line shown in the chart shown above and on the previous post.

The longer term true trend won't change very easily and has a great deal of price momentum working in this market.

Bottomline: The DOWNTREND of both the short term and long term trend have converged. The EURO is headed down to it's October lows again and will probably break thru them.

Any upward penetration of the Golden Line on the short term trend will be short-lived in my opinion. - George
