Qui Bono? Who Benefits?

This ancient Latin question was considered the critical Royal Guideline to Truth and what was really happening and why.

It worked in the political snakepits of ancient Rome to help get to the Light of Truth in a World of Lies. The resemblance to today's political landscape hardly needs to be mentioned.

Let's revive the usage of this wonderful tool for Truth again today and for the same reasons as used in Roman days.

We have the very same need to protect ourselves from greed, corruption, deceipt, theft and danger. It's out there and this is what we can do when we read, hear or view some media news report meant to scare us or cajol us into a knee-jerk reaction.

Ask this question: "Qui bono? Who benefits?"

Always be ready to ask it and look closely for the answer. It will surface immediately.

Who benefits from a war in the middle east oil country? Do you or does Big Oil, weapons and military manufacturers and politicians?

See how easy that was?

It's amazing how one simple question can cut thru a Media-World of B.S..

Why don't we get real news anymore?

Did you know that only 5 companies now control all the major media outlets of radio and television in the US?

Not very diversified, and, when you include the US Government who controls the licenses for the radio & tv stations, you have a recipe for undue influence of the coverage of events and promotion of products and causes.

Who benefits?

Who benefits when we get stories of impending epidemics or flu vaccine shortages or new drugs promising miracle cures??

Is it you?

Or, is it the pharmaceutical companies who reap hundreds of millions from these stories effects on a gullible population made even more gullible by the same media that feed them these disguised advertisements?

Corporations rule this country and the World. They are not People (with a capital "P"), but, artificial persons without soul or conscience.

All corporations have one mission only: to benefit and profit their shareholders.

Nothing more.

Unfortunately, corners are cut in the pursuit of these profits and we know the results. This is why a new approach is needed to doing business in a Human way.

Limiting Corporation charter lifetimes and having periodic reviews for extension of those charters based on environmental and local community-support results are definitely one way to go in the meantime.

As corporations ARE business today and this country and government is run by business, it would be wise to set aside a little time to understand what they are and how they work.
