Terrorism: Another Illusion (Lie)?

The term terrorism has become overused and suspect lately to many who think it is crying "fire!" in an empty theater.

Those folks, it seems, have been proven statistically right.

It seems that the threat we've been taught to fear is an illusion statistically if not psychologically.

Please refer to the following article where you will learn that the number of people killed annually from terrorists is no more than the number who die from bee stings or drown in bathtubs!

In fact, it was a Cato report that made this abundantly clear:

"In almost all years, the total number of people worldwide who die at the hands of international terrorists anywhere in the world is not much more than the number who drown in bathtubs in the United States."

Of course, they're playing to our fears which are natural. Read this article to learn more about how this fear distorts our perceptions of what is safe and what is dangerous.
