Few realize the true importance that the power of focus has in accomplishing our
desired goals in Life.
Here's a statistic that I found useful and foundational:
People who focus on one single task have a probability of 87% success in achieving their single objective while
those who include just one other additional task cause their success odds to plummet down to only 14%.
Talk about a cautionary tale about having "too many irons in the fire", here is the proof.
Statistics aside, doesn't feel right too?
I mean, in my own case, I've been guilty of having too many objectives at any one time. And, there's no
question, that things did not move along as efficiently as I'd hoped.
When you are ecclectic, like me, it's sometimes difficult not to have many interests going at once.
My solution is too gather all of the projects under one roof, like, say, "The Shaman's Tent", and then handle
the whole project as a single project.
It works.
It's a simple solution that actually works for all you multi-taskers out there.
This multi-function lifestyle we're all encouraged to live these days point out another series of studies I read
a while back.
The summary was that we have entirely too many choices and decisions to make on a daily basis.
So many choices actually slow down the decision process until it actually stops. We then become almost
catatonic; zombies overwhelmed by choices.
Nature never provided 50 breakfast cereal choices for example.
The articles went on to say that this is why there is a surge in people seeking out simpler lifestyles and
philosophies of Life as they regain their functionality and satisfaction returns to Life as a result.
So, please don't be overwhelmed on this site. No choices have to be made here. Just pick the "fruit" that seems
ripe to you today from our links and come back again tomorrow for another "meal".
There's no hurry. Eat all you like. - George
