Oh boy! Where does one begin on this topic?

Let's start by stating that this is a discussion of Politics, not Statesmanship which has almost vanished from our culture today.

Statesmanship is a Virtue. It is not egocentric, greedy or corruptable. I'm sure you already immediately identify Statesmanship as the opposite of what we know as Politics today!

Yes, we live in an incredible time. We're in a real-life laboratory where every kind of corruption, greed, power-grabbing and deceipt can be viewed without going to very much trouble at all.

How convenient for those of us who are willing to wake up to how things really are out there. So, these really are the "best of times and the worst of times." There are some very astute, though, largely unknown observers and writers on this subject, so, I will largely defer to them and merely act to point you in their direction.
