GOLD PRICE CLUES
The latest chart we'll look at here shows the Gold Price Clues to what I believe* the "real" trend to be (regardless of the latest media hype or position): POSTED: 2/04/09 The "Moment of Truth" for Gold has arrived. We are now poised on the Golden Line for the short-term Gold price movement. This is happening at the same time that we are making long-term tops with the Golden Line as a price resistance point.
As we stated in earlier blogs, the true longer-term trend for GOLD has actually been DOWN over the last year, despite all the hype about GOLD. Now . . . *NOTE: It looks like we're within hours of knowing if prices are going to go back into decline again. It will take a little longer to see if prices want to move to higher levels. Once an uptrend starts at this level, it will, in my opinion, rise above $1,050 as I stated in the last posting. I'll repeat the long-term outlook for this week: This week Gold will have the opportunity to penetrate the Golden Line or bounce back downwards from it and continue it's downward trend.
If prices surge above this Golden Line, we will have confirmation of a new MAJOR TREND that will likely last many months and take prices above $1,000/oz.
